Thanh Tien Village and The paper flower craft

Location: Thanh Tien village is in Phu Mau commune, Phu Vang district, Hue city. This villages situate in a special location, on the bank of Perfume river‘s downstream. Thanh Tien village borders Mau Tai hamlet on the North, The Vinh village on the South, Vong Trì village on the East, Perfume river on the West-East.

 History: As in Tran genealogical family records (in 33 th under King Tu Duc reign), the person who is the first cultivated in this land is Vo Dinh Tien, from Son Tay,escorting Lord Nguyen in Phu Xuan. He was the first person who farmed 83 acres. Therefore Thanh Tien village is mainly agricultural with almost of people engaged in farming but on December (lunar calendar) people make paper flower.
 
Features: Paper flower used to be decorated at house, temple, altar…Thanh Tien paper flower is diverse in colour and design. People use paper flower in through a year and only change the new one in New year occasion (lunar calendar), thus the paper flower craft is only  made in short time of the end of year.
