An Dinh Palace is the original residence of Nguyen dynasty built in early 20 century, located on the bank of An Cuu river, Phu Nhuan ward, Hue city, Vietnam. This palace was formerly built by King Dong Khanh and named as Phung Hoa which was a present for the Crown Prince Nguyen Phuc Buu Dao. In 1916 Prince Buu Dao became a King, he rebuilt Phung Hoa palace and renamed to An Dinh. In 1922 the An Dinh palace was conferred on Vinh Thuy Crown Prince as a token of love to his son. In 1945, after the abdication at Ngo Mon gate (30. 08. 1945), Vinh Thuy and his family left Imperial citadel to An Dinh palace. After 1975 his mother gave An Dinh palace to the Revolutionary government. In long time An Dinh palace was the public cultural place, due to the lack of preservation it was in serious deterioration.
